Living institutions, dead addresses
Turin has no shortage of institutions that are still active while their old web addresses under the .torino.it domain have been abandoned and are now free. The Castello di Rivoli, a museum of contemporary art, left castellodirivoli.torino.it free after moving to castellodirivoli.org. The Teatro Stabile di Torino likewise released teatrostabile.torino.it and moved to teatrostabiletorino.it.
Other organisations' domains are free as well, among them the autonomous federation of Italian bank employees (fabi.torino.it) and the Ipasvi nursing college (ipasvi.torino.it), as well as apice.torino.it and oct.torino.it.
The Castello di Rivoli's old address, though free, still holds position 12,539,131 in the Common Crawl host graph: a sign that links made while it was in use still point to that domain.
