Ente di gestione delle Aree Protette del Po e della Collina Torinese

The Ente di gestione delle Aree Protette del Po e della Collina Torinese was the Piedmontese body that administered the system of protected natural areas along the Po river and on the Turin hill, with its head office at Cascina Le Vallere, corso Trieste 98 in Moncalieri, and an operational office in Castagneto Po.[3] Its website, www.parchipocollina.to.it, described the body's mission as offering leisure and outdoor opportunities to about two million residents of the Turin area and to tourists, in a territory where natural habitats coexist with historical and architectural landmarks.[1][2]

The body's governing bodies

According to the site's contacts page, dated 28 January 2012, the body was chaired by Giuseppe Bava, with Giorgio Albertino as vice-chair and a Council made up, besides Bava and Albertino, of Fabrizio Oddone, Matilde Casa and Michele Demaria. Management was entrusted to Ippolito Ostellino, while the press office was run by Andrea Miola.[3]

A site in three languages

The site was also available in English and French versions, with a page describing the territory as "a unique setting that only a few big urban centers can boast".[4][5]
