How this page is made
The list is chosen by the editors. Designations, areas and places to buy are checked against the official registers (European Union, Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Piedmont Region) and the websites of the consortia, producers, municipalities and markets.
Prices are the regular shelf prices in the online shops of large supermarket chains, updated daily; for things not sold there we only say where to buy them. Comparisons with other countries appear only when there are enough data.
Price data: IOPrice. Exchange rates: European Central Bank.
