Parco del Valentino

In December 1936 a report described the large building under construction in the Parco del Valentino on the Municipality's initiative: one of the most modern buildings in the world, with two theatres, the Fashion Museum and offices.1

In February 1940 the Podestà inspected works extending the Parco del Valentino by 70,000 square metres beyond the river.2

In February 1948, after about twenty years of proposals, the idea of creating an aquarium and a reptile house in the Parco del Valentino was discussed again.3

In December 1948 a proposal for an autonomous administration of the Parco del Valentino was put forward by a professional enthusiast of floriculture.4
