Piedmont's Participation in Ithic 2026
On 30 September and 1 October 2026, the Piedmont Region takes part, for the first time in its history, in Ithic (Italian Hospitality Investment Conference), described as the largest European event dedicated to attracting investment in the tourist hospitality sector. The event, now in its eighth edition, is held at a large hotel in Milan. Piedmont is the first Italian region to attend Ithic with its own institutional representation.[1][2]
Piedmont's participation
Presenting the figures, strengths and opportunities of Piedmontese tourism to potential investors is the regional councillor for Commerce, Agriculture and Food, Tourism, Sport and Post-Olympic Affairs, Hunting and Fishing, and Parks, Paolo Bongioanni. The councillor states that participation in Ithic is a targeted choice, coming at a time when Piedmontese tourism is posting results above expectations, and links it to the promotion of the agri-food sector and the region's ongoing hosting of major sporting events. Bongioanni also points to the growing number of available beds in Piedmont thanks to new investments.[1][2]
In the Piedmont Space, organized by Visit Piemonte, the Region is joined by the Atl Langhe Monferrato and Roero and by Ceipiemonte.[1][2]
The Ithic conference
Ithic's central theme is identifying the most significant opportunities in the hotel real estate sector, with a call to accelerate the development of the industry in Italy, also in light of new geopolitical and economic scenarios. The event brings together investors, developers, operators and hospitality brands every year, serving as a forum for discussing investment strategies and market development prospects.[1][2]
The 2026 edition features more than 70 speakers and 1,380 participating professionals, over 40% of whom come from abroad. Over the two days, the Piedmontese delegation holds meetings with major hotel chains, some already present in the region, as well as with investors and financial operators interested in new destinations and development projects for Piedmont's tourism offering.[1][2]
