At the 82nd edition of Eicma, the International Cycle and Motorcycle Exhibition held at Fiera Milano Rho from 3 to 8 November 2026, the Piedmont Region, based in Turin, shares an exhibition space for the first time with the Liguria Region, in Pavilion 11, Stand S31. The initiative is promoted by the Piedmont Region's Tourism department as part of an institutional partnership launched in October 2025 with a protocol for shared tourism development between the two regions [1].

The 14 «Piemonte in moto» routes

Among the offers presented at the stand, the 14 motorcycle routes grouped under the name «Piemonte in moto» ("Piedmont on a Motorbike") make their debut, designed to link the passes of the Maritime Alps to the Ligurian Riviera. They join other existing offers, such as Piedmont's «Strade Storiche» ("Historic Roads"), which cross the Maritime Alps to reach the sea, «La Liguria degli Anelli» ("Liguria's Loops"), motorcycle routes linking the Ligurian coast and hinterland to Piedmontese territory, and the cycling routes of the Ciclovia Tirrenica [1].

Aims and statements

The integrated tourism offer focuses on motorcycle and bicycle tourism to reach new segments of visitors, promote stays outside the traditional tourist circuits and support the appeal of destinations throughout the year [1]. The Piedmont Region's councillor for Trade, Agriculture and Food, Tourism, Sport and Post-Olympic affairs, and Parks, Paolo Bongioanni, said that Piedmont and Liguria are “naturally united by a few kilometres linking 3,000-metre peaks and the sea,” adding that the network of cycling and motorcycling routes stems from joint work with Liguria's Tourism councillor, Luca Lombardi, to turn ancient trade and military roads into an organised tourism offer [1].

Eicma

Eicma, founded in 1914, registered over 600,000 visitors from 148 countries and more than 43,000 industry professionals from 167 countries at its 2025 edition, with a 28% increase in foreign operators compared with 2024 [1].
