Fondazione Paideia
Fondazione Paideia is a Turin-based organization that has spent thirty years directly supporting families with children with disabilities, as well as promoting a culture of inclusion. It is headquartered at the Centro Paideia, in via Moncalvo 1.
From 18 to 20 September 2026 the foundation organized, between the Centro Paideia and piazza Arbarello, the fourth edition of the "Insieme" festival, dedicated to the world of disability with the aim of moving beyond both pitying and heroic narratives. The program addressed themes such as ableism, self-determination, representation, caregiving and affection, with talks and workshops including "Coppia mista", devoted to stereotypes surrounding relationships between people with and without disabilities, which also featured La Stampa's Diversity Editor Pasquale Quaranta.
Among the guests taking part in the talks were Fabrizio Acanfora, Clara Dupont-Monod, Eugenio Finardi and Arturo Brachetti, alongside people with disabilities, family members and caregivers. The official opening remarks on 19 September, in piazza Arbarello, were given by the Piedmont Region's Health Councillor Federico Riboldi, Turin's deputy mayor Michela Favaro, and the foundation's secretary general Fabrizio Serra. The festival closed on Sunday 20 September with "Pilates solidale", a class open to everyone with a free-will donation in support of the foundation.
