Michela Favaro
Michela Favaro is deputy mayor of the City of Turin with responsibility for Real Estate Assets (Patrimonio Immobiliare). On 6 October 2026, also holding the Productive Activities portfolio, she proposed to the City Council («Giunta comunale») "Incubatori per l'inclusione" ("Incubators for inclusion"), a call for proposals worth over €1.8 million in European funds to support self-employment among unemployed young people aged 18 to 35, with non-repayable grants ranging from €40,000 to €130,000. On 6 October 2026 the City Council, on a proposal by Favaro and in agreement with the councillor responsible for Monuments and City Care, Francesco Tresso, approved the executive project for the restoration of the monument to Vincenzo Gioberti in Piazza Carignano, a €167,000 intervention sponsored by One S.r.l. The restoration is made necessary by weather-related deterioration; in exchange, in compliance with the Soprintendenza's requirements, the sponsor will be allowed to place two advertising banners on the site's scaffolding, with an exemption from public land occupation fees.
