Coldiretti rally outside Palazzo Lascaris (27 October 2026)
Date of the event:

On the morning of 27 October 2026 about 4,000 farmers from across Piedmont gather in Turin outside Palazzo Lascaris, seat of the Piedmont Regional Council, for a rally organised by Coldiretti Torino and Coldiretti Piemonte.[1] Many participants come from the province of Cuneo.[2]
The ten requests
Coldiretti presents the Region with ten measures it considers necessary to save Piedmontese agriculture:[1]
- contain the price of agricultural diesel and extend the fertiliser support scheme to all sectors;
- protect farms from the power of large retail chains and rebalance value along the supply chain;
- recognise a state of drought emergency and launch a plan for water-storage basins;
- ban ultra-processed foods in public canteens;
- give livestock farms more time to comply with the air-quality action plan for agriculture, suspending penalties;
- increase funding for subsidised insurance policies against damage;
- reach zero net land consumption;
- control wildlife populations and reform hunting rules, since compensation for damage is only partial;
- protect seasonal farm workers and support housing for them;
- revise altitude bands and grazing periods in the mountains.
The meeting at the Region
A delegation, including Coldiretti Torino chair Bruno Mecca Cici, Coldiretti Piemonte chair Cristina Brizzolari and director Bruno Rivarossa, is received at the Regional Council by its president, Davide Nicco, in the presence of councillors, and by the agriculture councillor Paolo Bongioanni, who joins remotely.[1] Bongioanni confirms funding of about €8 million against the rise in agricultural diesel prices. In closing, Nicco pledges to convene supply-chain round tables, including with large retailers for fruit and vegetables, and the Tavolo Verde (Green Table), to ban ultra-processed foods in public canteens, to revise compliance deadlines for livestock farms, to support the hazelnut sector and to ease the financial burden on farms.[1]
