ATC Piemonte Centrale

The Agenzia Territoriale per la Casa (Atc) del Piemonte Centrale is the public body that manages public housing in the Turin metropolitan area, chaired in 2026 by Maurizio Pedrini.

In September 2026 the agency carried out a series of evictions against illegal occupations of public housing units in the Mirafiori district of Turin: on 16 September in corso Salvemini and on 18 September at via Roveda 45, where an apartment had been illegally occupied since 2022. With this latest operation, illegal occupations in the via Roveda building, which has 49 housing units in total, were brought to zero.

The crackdown on illegal occupations in 2026

During 2026 the Agenzia territoriale per la casa del Piemonte Centrale (Atc), led by president Maurizio Pedrini, carried out a series of evictions of social housing units illegally occupied in Turin, with the support of law enforcement. On 24 July it recovered an apartment that had been occupied since the beginning of 2025 in via Ghedini, in the Regio Parco district, and a second one between corso Grosseto and via Sospello. In a joint statement, Pedrini and the Piedmont Region's deputy president Maurizio Marrone declared that «our war against squatters never stops» and that, «day after day, month after month», the agency is «freeing all the occupied units, one by one». The City of Turin's security councillor Marco Porcedda described the operation as «excellent work» by the Local Police's specialist units.
