Recovery of three illegally occupied flats by Atc in Turin (28 October 2026)

On the morning of 28 October 2026 the Territorial Housing Agency of Central Piedmont (Atc) recovered three public-housing flats that had been occupied without title in Turin: in the complex on via Faà di Bruno, in the Vanchiglia district; at via Maddalene 34, in the Regio Parco district; and on via Bosconero, in Borgo Vittoria. In the latter case, with the support of the Carabinieri, a person was removed who, without any right to do so, had since the previous March occupied the flat registered to their mother, allegedly behaving violently toward neighbours according to residents. The flats were secured and, after the necessary works, can be reassigned to families on the waiting list. «The effort against the illegal occupation of public housing continues with determination», said Piedmont Region's deputy president Maurizio Marrone and Atc's president Maurizio Pedrini, adding that «every flat recovered is a concrete response for families legitimately waiting for a home and helps ensure greater security and peace of mind for all residents».
