Elva

Elva is a municipality in Valle Maira, in the province of Cuneo. The municipality is affected by a series of building projects funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), concerning the redevelopment of urban spaces and the mountain area.¹²

PNRR projects

In 2026 the mayor of Elva, Claudio Arneodo, presented the president of the Piedmont Region, Alberto Cirio, with the progress of the municipality's PNRR-funded projects, showing both completed works and those nearing completion.¹² According to the municipal administration, the works carried out with PNRR funds are not limited to redeveloping physical spaces but serve as a lever for economic development and for keeping the community rooted in the valley.¹²

The regional president's visit

On 6 October 2026 Alberto Cirio carried out a site visit to Elva to see first-hand the progress of the PNRR projects, welcomed by mayor Claudio Arneodo.¹² The visit was also attended by Franco Graglia, vice-president of the Piedmont Regional Council and elected municipal councillor in Elva.¹² During the meeting, the mayor thanked the institutional representatives for the attention shown to the municipality, calling it «fundamental» to the growth process undertaken by the local administration.¹²
