Postalcoop
Postalcoop is a multiservice company based in Grugliasco, in the Turin metropolitan area. It handled express deliveries and parcel sorting on behalf of Nexive, a company of the Poste Italiane group, operating under subcontract through the Milan-based company Opera Delivery. The company had also invested in the restaurant business, including the Norman venue in Turin, seized in autumn 2025.[1][2]
Judicial liquidation and the Epicentro investigation
On 22 November 2025 Postalcoop was placed under judicial administration, leading to the company's judicial liquidation. The measure is linked to a wider investigation by the Guardia di Finanza, coordinated by Turin's economic and financial police unit under deputy prosecutor Giulia Marchetti, known as the Epicentro investigation. The investigation documented an alleged tax fraud worth 100 million euros in the logistics sector, based on contracting agreements considered fictitious and signed with various clients, including major companies, resulting in illicit gains from the systematic non-payment of taxes due.[1][2]
Layoffs and civil lawsuit
Following the seizures ordered as part of the investigation, around thirty Postalcoop employees were left without pay and subsequently without work, amid interruptions to operations and the non-renewal of fuel cards for delivery drivers.[1]
On 25 September 2026 a civil lawsuit opened at the Turin court, brought by 23 former Postalcoop employees against Poste Italiane, through its subsidiary Nexive Network, and against Opera Delivery. The action was launched with the support of the Cgil union and is represented by lawyers Alessandro Mortara, also referred to as Roberto Mortara, and Franco Balzan. The plaintiffs are seeking recognition of the true nature of the employment relationship, arguing that they had in fact worked under Poste Italiane, and reinstatement into the company's workforce with pay appropriate to the duties performed.[1][2]
During the first hearing the court proposed an attempt at conciliation between the parties, which the plaintiffs leaned toward rejecting; the case will continue in the following weeks. At the same time, in front of Turin's Palace of Justice the workers held a demonstration organised with the Cgil. A second lawsuit, filed against Inps to obtain recognition of the Naspi unemployment benefit effective from 22 November 2025, is scheduled at the Ivrea court for 6 October 2026.[2]
