IOLAVORO
IOLAVORO is an event dedicated to jobs, guidance and training, promoted by the Piedmont Region and organised by Agenzia Piemonte Lavoro. The Turin editions are held at the Inalpi Arena and bring together companies looking for staff, jobseekers, students and schools. After twenty years of activity, the event has involved more than 265,000 people overall [1][3].
The 2026–2029 cycle
On 14 and 15 October 2026 IOLAVORO returned to Turin, at the Inalpi Arena, opening a new cycle of events that, from autumn 2026 to 2029, will bring guidance, employment and training initiatives to various areas of Piedmont [1][3]. Around 100 companies and employment agencies took part in the 2026 edition with their own stand, while more than 1,500 students were expected; three days after online registration opened, 700 people had already signed up [2].
Activities and content
The programme includes direct meetings between candidates and companies, with the chance to take selection interviews, as well as hands-on workshops on CVs, interviews and digital tools such as LinkedIn and the Piemonte Tu platform [2]. A Speed Lab area offers information on the regional service for identifying, validating and certifying skills [2]. Space is also devoted to job opportunities in Europe through the EURES network, with a focus on France, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands, and to workplace inclusion, with initiatives aimed at people with disabilities, citizens of non-EU countries and prison inmates on training and employment pathways [2].
For schools, from primary to upper secondary level, guidance activities are planned on aptitudes, trades and training pathways, with a focus on ITS Academy higher technical institutes, internships, dual apprenticeships and healthcare and digital professions; with WorldSkills Piemonte, hands-on demonstrations of various trades are offered [2].
2026 institutional events
The 2026 edition was opened on Wednesday 14 October at 11am, with the Piedmont Region's deputy president and councillor for Employment Maurizio Marrone and the regional councillor for Education, Merit and Training Daniela Cameroni [1][3]. This was followed, in the Sala Rossa, by the institutional event "Rivoluzione Partecipazione: i lavoratori protagonisti del rilancio produttivo" ("Participation revolution: workers as protagonists of the production recovery"), featuring a recorded address by the Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, and the participation of Marrone, CISL confederal secretary Giorgio Graziani, CISL Piemonte general secretary Luca Caretti, Turin Industrial Union president Marco Gay and the president of Turin's provincial association of labour consultants, Fabrizio Bontempo [1][3]. The events also included the conference "Competenze e formazione al tempo dell'intelligenza artificiale" ("Skills and training in the age of artificial intelligence"), organised by the Piedmont Region together with CSI Piemonte [1][2][3]. Marrone described the event as an opportunity for dialogue between business, unions and politics, citing workers' involvement in company management as an example [1][3].
