The Cevrin di Coazze Festival is the Valsangone agri-food fair dedicated to Cevrin di Coazze, a cheese included in 2001 in the Basket of typical products of the then Province of Turin and recognised as a Slow Food Presidium (Presidio Slow Food). The event, traditionally held under the patronage of the Metropolitan City of Turin, showcases the typical products of the Valsangone mountains, from food specialities to local crafts.[1][2][3]
The 25th edition (October 2026)
The 25th edition of the Festa Rurale del Cevrin was held in Coazze from 15 to 18 October 2026, with four days of events.[1][2][4] In the days before the fair, the programme included the theatre show “Chi è di scena” by the “Sotto il Castello” company of Rivoli and the presentation of the book “L'ultima essenza” by Mara Barbara Rosso.[1][2] On 17 October, in the council chamber, the heirs of Marina Lussiana were presented with a plaque commemorating the agro-silvo-pastoral road linking Coazze to the Sellery alpine pastures, named after her in 2019; in the afternoon the 7th Ceurot Run for children and the 8th CeuRun for adults were held.[1][2][4]
On Sunday 18 October, the day of the agri-food fair, the event opened at 10am in piazza della Vittoria with the Coazze Philharmonic Band and the Happy Blue majorettes, before extending until 7pm into viale Italia '61 and the town's squares, with stalls selling agri-food products, crafts and street food, an exhibition of Alpine Chamois goats (Camosciata delle Alpi) and the traditional “rudùn” cowbells.[1][2][3] The Ecomuseo dell'Alta Val Sangone hosted the exhibition “La filiera del latte e del formaggio” (the milk and cheese supply chain) and the Museo della Resistenza della Valsangone was also open to visitors, while the Ente di gestione delle Aree protette delle Alpi Cozie organised a cheese-making demonstration.[1][2][3][4] At 5pm the herd of Alpine Chamois goats paraded after their descent from the Sellery alpine pastures, followed by the awarding of prizes to the breeders.[1]
