World Press Photo Exhibition in Turin (2026)
From 18 September to 13 December 2026 the Accademia Albertina of Fine Arts in Turin hosts, for the tenth consecutive year, the World Press Photo Exhibition, in the underground Rotonda del Talucchi. The exhibition presents 144 images selected from more than 57,000 photographs submitted from 141 countries, under the patronage of the City of Turin and the Metropolitan City. The World Press Photo of the Year 2026 was awarded to American photographer Carol Guzy for «Separated by ICE», a photograph documenting the arrest of an Ecuadorian man at a federal courthouse in New York; the only Italian among the winners is Chantal Pinzi, with the project «Farīsāt: Gunpowder's Daughters», dedicated to Moroccan women practising a historically male equestrian tradition. The World Press Photo Foundation, which organises the touring exhibition, was founded in 1955 in Amsterdam by a collective of Dutch photojournalists.
