Trofarello-Asti railway works of November 2026

From 2 to 7 November 2026, extraordinary maintenance works on the railway stretch between Trofarello and Asti bring changes to the circulation of numerous regional and long-distance connections departing from or bound for Turin. The changes affect the Turin Porta Nuova-Rome Termini, Turin-Genoa Brignole, Turin-Salerno, Turin-Lecce, Turin-Reggio Calabria, Turin-Savona, Turin-Alessandria, Turin-Novi Ligure, Ivrea-Novara lines and the Sfm6 Turin Caselle Airport-Asti line ^[1].

Long-distance trains

Some Intercity and Intercity Notte trains on the Turin-Genoa Brignole, Turin-Savona, Turin-Lecce, Turin-Salerno and Turin-Reggio Calabria Centrale routes undergo timetable changes, depending on periodicity, with earlier departures, route changes and the cancellation of some intermediate stops. On 1 November, some Intercity Notte trains on the Turin-Salerno, Turin-Reggio Calabria Centrale and Turin-Lecce routes are replaced by a bus service ^[1]. Frecciarossa trains 8606 and 8623 on the Turin Porta Nuova-Rome Termini line are cancelled between Turin and Asti, depending on periodicity ^[1].

Regional trains and the Sfm6

Fast regional trains bound for Genoa Brignole, Alessandria and Novi Ligure are cancelled between Torino Porta Nuova and Asti, with the exception of trains 2109, 2147, 2152, 2104 and 2107, which are cancelled entirely. Trains 2116 and 2141 make an additional stop at Frugarolo. On the Sfm6 Turin Caselle Airport-Asti line, regional trains are cancelled between Trofarello and Asti and replaced by a bus service ^[1]. More limited changes affect the Ivrea-Novara line, with delays of 4 or 5 minutes for some trains on the days concerned ^[1].

Replacement service

The timetables of the replacement buses may vary depending on road traffic conditions, and bicycles are not allowed on board. For the buses replacing regional trains, passenger service operates in the forecourts in front of the stations, including Turin Lingotto, Moncalieri, Trofarello, Pessione, San Paolo Solbrito, Villafranca-Cantarana, Asti and Torino Porta Nuova. For the buses replacing the Intercity and Intercity Notte trains, stops are provided in Asti and at Genoa Piazza Principe ^[1].
