Silicon Box
Silicon Box is a company active in semiconductor manufacturing. In spring 2026 it starts construction of a new plant in Novara, Piedmont: an investment of 3.2 billion euros, with 1,600 jobs expected.
The group is headquartered in Singapore; the plant is being built in Agognate, on the outskirts of Novara, and is its first European facility for chiplets and advanced microprocessor packaging. [3]
On 1 October 2026 the board of directors of Invitalia approves the "Vulcan Project", with 1.3 billion euros in public support from the European Chips Act fund; according to the President of the Region Alberto Cirio, the investment confirms Piedmont's role as an industrial platform able to attract international capital.
