Invitalia's go-ahead for public funding (October 2026)

On 1 October 2026 the board of directors of Invitalia approves «Vulcan Project», the €3.2 billion investment plan with which Silicon Box will build its first European microchip factory in Novara. The resolution provides for €1.3 billion in public support through the sector Fund established under the European Chips Act.
