Roadworks on via Passo Buole in November 2026
Date of the event:
The via Passo Buole roadworks are a safety project for the junction between via Passo Buole and corso Unione Sovietica, in Turin, begun between 2 and 3 November 2026. The works include renewing the traffic light system, installing acoustic signals and creating tactile paths to help blind and visually impaired people cross the road [1][2].
The works
The roadway is narrowed near the crossings, reducing the distance pedestrians have to cover on foot. Traffic continues to flow during the works, with no road closures [1][2].
The project is part of a wider programme to make city junctions safer: works on corso Sommeiller are now nearing completion, with the traffic lights due to be switched back on shortly, while works in piazza Hermada, which began the previous week, are continuing [1][2].
Other related works
On the same days, 2 and 3 November 2026, new asphalt is laid on corso Sacco e Vanzetti, with no traffic interruptions, and works begin on via Valentino Carrera, where the road is closed in stages and reopened as the work progresses [1][2].
From 2 November, the resurfacing of via Valprato, between via Gressoney and corso Venezia, also begins, starting with the pavements before moving on to the roadway; the works are expected to be completed by the end of the month [1][2].
The Torino Cambia programme
The works are part of the "Torino Cambia – Spazi che uniscono" programme, which covers several districts of the city and is supported by Fondazione CRT with a total investment of 32 million euros for the upkeep of streets and public spaces [1][2].
Alongside the City's own works, utility operators are carrying out their own projects in the same period: from 2 November, Smat begins laying a new sewer pipe in via Randaccio, between via Sospello and via Palli, with the road closed to traffic until 31 December, except for residents and workers of local businesses [1][2].
