Moretta joins the «Comuni amici dei motociclisti» network

The Municipality of Moretta, in the province of Cuneo, has joined the «Comuni amici dei motociclisti» network and the national «A.D.M. PASS» project, an initiative aimed at promoting two-wheel tourism and showcasing local areas through a network of towns welcoming to motorcyclists. The decision was approved by the Municipal Council with resolution no. 138 of 29 September 2026 [1][2].

The A.D.M. PASS project

The initiative involves including Moretta in the A.D.M. PASS circuit, which allows motorcyclists registered in the Albo dei Motociclisti to request a personal passport, with an identification number, on which to collect stamps from participating municipalities during their trips. Municipalities joining the network designate a point responsible for issuing the official stamp: in Moretta this point will be the «Baracca del gelato» [1][2]. The project also provides for each municipality to have its own showcase on the dedicated portal, with information on attractions, services and places to visit [1][2].

The mayor's statements

The mayor of Moretta, Gianni Gatti, stated that the administration wants to open the town to every form of tourism, showcasing it through its cultural and gastronomic aspects and local produce, but also tapping into forms of tourism other than traditional channels, such as cycle tourism along the Via delle Risorgive route and motorcycle tourism [1][2]. Gatti recalled the Cuneo area as a crossing point for two-wheel enthusiasts, citing the Alpine routes through the Colle dell'Agnello pass and the Fossano motorcycle rally, and pointed to joining the circuit as a way to invite visitors to stop in Moretta and discover its distinctive features [1][2].
