Borgaretto
Borgaretto is a hamlet of the municipality of Beinasco, located in the Turin metropolitan city. Among its streets is via Monviso, the site of a news incident in September 2026.
The incident of September 2026
On the afternoon of Wednesday 30 September 2026, a man and a woman were attacked inside their own home, near via Monviso in Borgaretto, by their two Central Asian Shepherd dogs, animals the couple had owned for about four years [1][2].
The man suffered extremely serious injuries to one hand, with the amputation of three fingers, as well as several bites; given first aid by 118 emergency personnel, he was taken by ambulance to the San Luigi hospital in Orbassano, where doctors sutured his wounds and gave him a 40-day prognosis [1][2]. The woman was bitten on the face and in several parts of her body, with a prognosis of 20 days [1][2].
Local police officers responded to the scene along with veterinarians from the ASL To3, who handled the rescue operations and secured the animals [1][2]. The two dogs were sedated and later transferred to the Croce Blu veterinary clinic; according to TorinoOggi the clinic is located in Piossasco [1][2].
