Alice Toya
Alice Toya is a general practitioner. On 6 November 2026 the health district of the ASL CN1 (local health authority) announced her availability to take on a temporary post in Bagnolo Piemonte, in the province of Cuneo, replacing Dr Matteo Gerbaldo, who had ended his work as the appointed primary-care doctor on 25 October 2026. [1][2]
The post in Bagnolo Piemonte
Dr Toya began work on Monday 16 November 2026, seeing patients by appointment at the surgery at via Vittorio Emanuele II 32, in Bagnolo Piemonte. [1][2] Opening hours are: Monday from 3pm to 6pm, Tuesday from 9am to noon, Wednesday from 2pm to 5pm, Thursday from 4pm to 7pm and Friday from 10am to 1pm. [1][2] A phone number and an email address have been made public for contacts. [1][2]
The post concerns in particular the patients previously cared for by Dr Gerbaldo who had not yet chosen a new general practitioner. From 16 November 2026 these patients were temporarily and automatically assigned to Dr Toya, without the need to go to the district offices, in order to ensure continuity of care. [1][2] Patients remain free to choose another general practitioner with available places, following the usual procedure. [1][2] At their first visit, patients were asked to bring their medical records. [1][2]
Reactions
The mayor of Bagnolo Piemonte, Roberto Baldi, welcomed Dr Toya's arrival, saying he was glad that a solution had been found to ensure continuity of service for residents. [2] Baldi also stressed the cooperative relationship built up over the years between the municipality and the health authority, noting that doctors who had retired had always been replaced, and recalled that municipal offices remain available to help residents with the procedures for choosing or changing their general practitioner.
