Abbonamento Musei

The Abbonamento Musei is the annual card that gives access to museums and cultural sites in Piedmont, Lombardy and Aosta Valley; it is run by the association of the same name, founded in 1995 at the initiative of the culture departments of the City of Turin, the Piedmont Region and the Province of Turin.[1]

History

The association was originally called Torino Città Capitale Europea, and has run the card since 1998; its founding members are the Piedmont Region, the City of Turin and Fondazione CRT.[1] The AM Club was launched in 2003, Abbonamento Musei Lombardia in 2015, and Aosta Valley joined in 2019.[2][1]

The numbers

Today the network includes 250 museums in Piedmont, 240 in Lombardy and 30 in Aosta Valley.[1] Over thirty years, 2,268,519 cards have been sold for 14,623,759 visits, and almost seventy million euros have gone back to the museums; as of 31 December 2024 there were 225,000 cardholders, 17 percent more than the year before.[2][3] For the thirtieth anniversary, on 24 May 2025 cardholders were invited to a celebration at the Reggia di Venaria.[2] In February 2026 Lombardy confirmed its support through 2028.[4]
