ccc.to - centro di cultura contemporanea

ccc.to.it was the site of the Centro di Cultura Contemporanea of Turin, a non-profit association housed in the former Birrificio Metzger brewery, which promoted arts, culture and social life with events open free of charge to non-profit associations every Friday evening.¹

The domain began in 2013 as the site of the Exeldance Project, a dance school and company whose youth ensemble, the Italian Youth Ballet (ITYB), performed «Ballet Etudes e Divertissement» in 2017.²³

The centre's Essiccatoio hall, with seating for 200 people, was rented out to dance schools in Turin and the province for end-of-year recitals.⁴

The site remained online, with the same content, at least until April 2024.⁵

The domain ccc.to.it in the web archive

The domain ccc.to.it, in the web archive since 24 July 2013, is presented as «Exeldance Project | Un nuovo sito targato WordPress» (a new WordPress-powered site). Only from 2021 does the domain again present itself as «ccc.to – centro di cultura contemporanea».

The site ccc.to: from the Exeldance building site to the centre in the former Birrificio Metzger (2013-2021)

In July 2013 the domain ccc.to still hosted a WordPress site under construction, headed «Exeldance Project», with the placeholder text «TESTO IN COMPOSIZIONE» (text being composed) instead of actual content. In the 2021 version the address had become the site of the Centro di Cultura Contemporanea of Turin, which hosted events such as an open rehearsal evening by the group Evì Evàn Rebetiko, with a fundraiser and dinner at the Fornello Economico e Popolare, and events at the cccTo's premises in the former Birrificio Metzger.
