State Police Checks in Dora Vanchiglia (26 September 2026)

On 26 September 2026 the State Police carried out a special control operation in the Dora Vanchiglia district of Turin, resulting in one arrest, three reports to the judicial authorities and an administrative fine of 307 euros issued to a public establishment on via Cigna. This was not the first time the Dora Vanchiglia police station had conducted this type of operation: on 12 August 2024 a similar high-impact check between lungo Dora Napoli, corso Giulio Cesare and corso Emilia had led to the identification of 64 people, one arrest and 3,000 euros in administrative fines. [4] A similar check, coordinated by the same police station on 12 January 2026 in the giardini Madre Teresa di Calcutta, had led to the identification of 45 people and the seizure of over 50 grams of drugs already divided into doses. [5] On 16 June 2025 a check at via Bra 10, coordinated by the same police station with the support of the Local Police, Iren, Italgas and the Asl, had covered 28 housing units and led to the arrest of two people for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing. [7] On 23 December 2025 a check by the same police station in the Aurora area, between corso Principe Oddone, via Maria Ausiliatrice and via Masserano, had led to the identification of seventeen people and the suspension of a delicatessen on corso Principe Oddone for hygiene violations and undeclared labor.
