Road accident in Bruzolo on 30 October 2026
Date of the event:
On the evening of Friday 30 October 2026, a silver convertible Toyota Celica, driven by a 25-year-old man, left the road and crashed into a masonry pillar on via Carlo Emanuele I, near the junction by the railway station in Bruzolo, in Val di Susa [1][2].
Dynamics
According to initial reconstructions, the driver swerved sharply to avoid a wild animal that had suddenly appeared on the road, losing control of the vehicle [1][2]. The car left the road and struck a masonry pillar supporting a fence, at the side of the road. The impact was violent: the front and left side of the car were badly damaged, the windscreen shattered and the pillar gave way in several places. The crash also damaged a pole and part of the fence, scattering debris, bricks and pieces of bodywork on the grass nearby [1].
Emergency response
An ambulance and the 118 Azienda Zero air ambulance responded to the scene, along with firefighters from the Borgone Susa and Susa units and Carabinieri from the Susa company, who carried out an inspection to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident [2]. The young man was stabilised by paramedics and airlifted to Turin's CTO hospital, where he was admitted with a fractured femur [1][2]. A tow truck also intervened to clear the road, removing the vehicle [1].
