Presentation of the «La Nostra Provincia» List in Cuneo
Date of the event:
On 4 November 2026 the centre-left of the Province of Cuneo presents the list «La Nostra Provincia», formed by eleven candidates, ahead of the elections to renew the Provincial Council of Cuneo, set for Sunday 29 November 2026. The presentation comes after the failure to agree on a unified, institutional list among the various components of the provincial centre-left [1][2].
The breakdown of the unified talks
The promoters' initial aim was to build a single list, able to rise above political affiliations and put the needs of the province's municipalities at the centre. According to the list's representatives, such a path would have required shared objectives, a concrete programme and adequate political representation — conditions that were not met, they say, owing to a lack of invitations and concrete proposals from the other parties involved [1][2].
The statement issued for the occasion reads: «Time has run out. This continual procrastination is no longer dignified for the institution, for the protagonists of the political scene and, above all, for the citizens of the Granda [the Cuneo area]» [1][2]. The promoters summed up the reasons for the breakdown with the phrase: «We are pleased that people are talking about us, but we would have preferred that they talk with us» [1][2].
Composition of the list
The «La Nostra Provincia» list is made up of five men and six women, representing large and small municipalities of the province, from the plains to the valleys: Luigina Beltramo, city councillor of Sommariva Bosco; Stefania Dalmasso, mayor of Piasco; Loris Emanuel, mayor of Moiola; Laura Gasco, city councillor of Mondovì; Alberto Gatto, mayor of Alba; Luca Paschiero, city councillor of Cuneo; Ettore Sanino, city councillor of Bra; Davide Sannazzaro, mayor of Cavallermaggiore; Anna Tassone, city councillor of Pianfei; Donatella Valsania, city councillor of Montà; Ernesta Zucco, mayor of Trinità [1][2].
Among the notable aspects of its composition is the absence of Stefania D'Ulisse, group leader of Cuneo Democratica e Solidale and an outgoing provincial councillor, in whose place among the representatives of the provincial capital Luca Paschiero was included. Three of the four outgoing provincial councillors elected in 2024 remain on the team, however: Loris Emanuel, Alberto Gatto and Davide Sannazzaro [1].
Election deadlines
The deadline for submitting candidacies for the presidency and lists for the Provincial Council of Cuneo is set for Monday 9 November 2026 at noon. The «La Nostra Provincia» list is the first official list presented for the provincial elections of 29 November 2026 [2].
