Patrick Assisi
Patrick Assisi, originally from Canavese, is considered by investigators to be a boss of the 'ndrangheta.1 He was arrested in 2019 together with his relative Nicola Assisi as part of an investigation into the international trafficking of cocaine between South America and Europe, which led to the seizure of at least 4.6 tons of drugs between 2019 and 2020.1
In September 2026 the Turin District Anti-Mafia Directorate, together with the Carabinieri's Ros and the Brazilian federal police, carried out operation «Eredità»: according to investigators, after the arrest of the two bosses, relatives and trusted associates allegedly continued to manage the trafficking towards Europe, maintaining contacts with South American suppliers. The operation led to eight pre-trial detention orders and five searches in Brazil, including the arrest of Patrick Assisi's wife, Paula Simões.2
