Parella

Parella is a district of Turin, part of the city's Circoscrizione 4. The district is home, at via Bellardi 116, to the Tedacà Bellarte cultural centre, run by the Associazione Tedacà.

The venue underwent an expansion and renovation project, inaugurated on 8 October 2026, which created a new theatre, rooms dedicated to the performing arts, and spaces for cultural, educational and social activities open to the district's community [1].

The project, described as a historic cultural hub for Parella, involved a total investment of €1.3 million. Of this, €300,000 came from the City of Turin through funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR, Mission 5, Component 2, Investment 2.2 "Integrated Urban Plans"), as part of the Youtoo programme, developed by the City in co-design with Third Sector organisations to spread educational, training, cultural and recreational opportunities for young people across the city's districts and to strengthen community hubs in the area. A further €415,000 is co-financing from the Associazione Tedacà, the venue's operator, while €585,000 comes from other public and private sources, including more than a hundred donations from residents who symbolically "bought" a theatre seat and dedicated it to a loved one [1].

Inauguration

The inauguration of the new spaces was attended by Turin's mayor Stefano Lo Russo, the councillor for education and youth policies Carlotta Salerno, the president of Circoscrizione 4 Alberto Re, the head of the Piedmont Region's Cultural Activities Promotion department Marco Chiriotti, Tedacà's president Claudia Cotza, Tedacà's founder and artistic director Simone Schinocca, the head of Compagnia di San Paolo's Obiettivo Cultura programme Matteo Bagnasco, Fondazione CRT's steering-committee member Giampiero Leo, and Gruppo Iren's head of Brand Strategy, Digital and Sponsorship Adriana Mosca [1].

In his remarks, mayor Lo Russo linked the project to the city administration's commitment to the Youtoo programme, funded through PNRR funds, describing it as the result of collaboration between public and private actors, institutions and residents [1]. Councillor Salerno described the Tedacà Bellarte space and the Tedacà association as a point of reference for the district's community and for young people interested in the arts, stressing the city's youth policies' commitment to supporting the project [1].
