Orange level of the anti-smog traffic light in Turin (October 2026)

From Thursday 29 October 2026, Turin's anti-smog traffic light switches to level 1 (orange), banning the circulation of Euro 5 diesel vehicles from 8am to 7pm. The measure was decided after Arpa Piemonte recorded PM10 levels above 50 micrograms per cubic metre for three consecutive days, while the ban on Euro 3 and Euro 4 diesel vehicles also extends to Saturday and Sunday ^[4]. The restrictions are however suspended on Friday 30 October for the national general strike. The orange level also halts Euro 3, Euro 4 and Euro 5 approved goods vehicles and vehicles fitted with the Move In device, while any updates to the anti-smog traffic light are announced on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and take effect the following day ^[4].
