November 2026 roadworks in Turin

On 9 November 2026 the City of Turin starts a new series of works to maintain roads and pavements, with work concentrated mainly in District 6. The works include resurfacing via Germagnano and strada del Cascinotto, as well as removing the disused tram tracks on via Sempione, in preparation for the subsequent resurfacing of the road. The programme also involves corso Re Umberto, in District 1, and corso Novara, in District 7 [1].

The works schedule

On Monday 9 November, resurfacing begins on via Germagnano, in the stretch between corso Vercelli and the railway bridge, together with work on the service road of corso Giulio Cesare at piazza Cornelio Tacito. On Tuesday 10 November it is the turn of strada del Cascinotto, with resurfacing of the most worn stretches from the junction with strada da Bertolla to Badia di Stura as far as the municipal boundary [1].

On Wednesday 11 November, resurfacing begins on the service road of corso Re Umberto, between piazza Solferino and corso Matteotti; in a later phase the works move to the central carriageway, between corso Matteotti and corso Vittorio Emanuele II, which remains closed to traffic for the whole duration of the works. On Thursday 12 November, resurfacing of corso Novara begins, between corso Regio Parco and via Bologna, with partial traffic restrictions [1].

Funding and other worksites

The resurfacing of via Germagnano, strada del Cascinotto, via Sempione and corso Novara are part of the «Torino Cambia – Spazi che uniscono» programme, supported by Fondazione CRT with a total investment of 32 million euros, intended for road maintenance and for improving the safety, accessibility and quality of public spaces [1].

On the same 9 November, work also starts to stabilise the left bank of the Po, between ponte Balbis and ponte Isabella, along viale Stefano Turr, where signs of instability are visible. The work, worth about 150,000 euros, involves a row of supporting piles and resurfacing of the cycle-pedestrian path, which remains closed in the stretch between viale Paolo Thaon di Revel and ponte Isabella; access to Marinai d'Italia remains guaranteed regardless. The funds come from the PON Metro programme and from savings on the tender for works already under way on the right bank of the river [1].

Resurfacing already under way in other parts of the city continues, while new pavement maintenance works start on strada degli Alberoni, via Crimea, via dei Quartieri and via San Francesco da Paola. Work on via Valentino Carrera and on a stretch of Lungodora Voghera is nearing completion, while the worksite on corso Sacco e Vanzetti has been completed [1].
