National White Truffle of Monferrato Fair 2026

The 38th National White Truffle of Monferrato Fair (Fiera Nazionale del Tartufo Bianco del Monferrato) is held in Montechiaro d'Asti, in the Province of Asti, on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026. The event, organised by the municipal administration, showcases the white truffle of Monferrato together with the area's food, wine, cultural and landscape highlights [1].
Early opening on Saturday evening
Compared with previous editions, the municipal administration has brought the start of the fair forward to Saturday evening, 7 November. In the historic Voltoni on via Vittorio Emanuele, an evening dedicated to flavours, wine and entertainment is organised, with tastings of truffle dishes paired with wines from local cellars, shows and live music [1].
Sunday's programme
On Sunday 8 November, the streets and squares of Montechiaro d'Asti host a truffle display, stalls selling local produce and crafts, street performances, art exhibitions and musical groups, as well as a classic car gathering. Children can try electric motorbikes and a simulated truffle hunt at the educational truffle ground (Tartufaia Didattica) [1].
In the afternoon a comedy show features Marco Berry. The Pro Loco (local tourist association) offers truffle dishes as takeaway or as a full menu served in a marquee set up in piazza del Mercato, while local restaurants offer truffle and local specialities [1].
The link with Turin
Among the novelties of the 2026 edition is the arrival in Montechiaro d'Asti of the historic «Centoporte» train, departing from Turin Porta Susa and arriving at the town's railway station. Passengers are welcomed by musicians and flag-wavers from the Comitato Palio di Montechiaro with a welcome performance. A shuttle train is also available for getting around the town [1].
