On 6 October 2026, carabinieri arrested in Turin a 45-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man — the victim's wife and her new partner — on charges of the premeditated murder of Mikel Rroku, a 55-year-old Albanian citizen.123
Rroku's body had been found on 6 July 2026 in an apartment on via Verolengo, in the Lucento district of Turin. Rroku, a 55-year-old pizza maker, is believed to have been killed on 30 June with ten blows to the head with a hammer; according to the prosecution, his wife and her partner had planned the murder since May in order to take over the public-housing (Atc) flat on via Verolengo, which was assigned to the victim.[4]1
