The march against the cost-of-living crisis and rearmament of 7 November 2026 is a demonstration announced in Turin for Saturday 7 November, gathering at 3pm in piazza Castello and ending in piazza Crispi. The protest concerns the cost-of-living crisis, war, rearmament, high rents and cuts to education and healthcare, and takes place at the same time as similar initiatives in Genoa, Florence, Bologna, Udine and Lecce. Organisation and route

The event was presented on 6 November during a city-wide assembly at the Luigi Einaudi Campus, occupied since 26 October, attended by university students, union representatives and collectives. [1][2] The march, for which notice was given to the Questura (police headquarters), will go along via Po, piazza Vittorio Veneto, via Vanchiglia, corso San Maurizio, corso Regina Margherita, piazza della Repubblica, via Cigna and corso Vigevano, before reaching piazza Crispi. Promoters and support

Among those who have announced their participation in the mobilisation are Cobas, the Cps student assembly, Cambiare Rotta, Torino è contro il riarmo, Torino per Gaza and Scuola per la Pace Torino. [1][2] The promoters also include the Torino in piazza network, the local branch of Italia in piazza, which aims to coordinate the various groups involved in the protests. [1][2]

Context

The organisers have announced further initiatives for the following weeks, aiming to give continuity to the protest, which is expected to spread to other Turin university sites, including Palazzo Nuovo, after the occupations that in previous weeks had also affected several upper secondary schools. [1][2] During the assembly at the Luigi Einaudi Campus, solidarity was expressed with the people subject to precautionary measures in the investigation into the clashes of 31 January 2026, which took place during the protest against the eviction of the Askatasuna social centre.
