Kappa FuturFestival

The Kappa FuturFestival is an electronic music festival held every July in Turin at Parco Dora, on corso Umbria; it is organized by Movement Entertainment and the Suoni e Colori association.[1][2]

History

It was born in 2009 for the centenary of Futurism and took on its current identity in 2012.[3] The related Movement Torino Music Festival, at the Lingotto, had started in 2006; in 2018 the Kappa FuturFestival surpassed 50,000 attendees.[4] In DJ Mag's 2025 ranking of the hundred best festivals, it placed sixth, the only Italian festival among the top forty.[1]

Recent editions

The 2025 edition had over 120,000 participants from more than 150 countries, with an estimated economic impact of about 30 million euros.[2] The thirteenth edition, from 3 to 5 July 2026, sold out before opening and counted 125,000 attendees from 152 countries, six stages and more than 130 artists, with an estimated impact of about 50 million; more than a thousand people worked on it.[3][5][6] The festival has the patronage of the European Commission and the support of the Region, the Metropolitan City and the City of Turin.[2] An edition in Monterrey, Mexico, is planned for 13 and 14 November 2026, and the 2027 Turin edition is scheduled for 2 to 4 July.[1]
