On 3 November 2026 the organisers of the Flowers Festival 2027 announced Kneecap, a trio from Belfast, as the first name on the line-up for the new edition of the event. The concert will be held on Monday 5 July 2027 in the courtyard of the Lavanderia a Vapore, inside the Parco della Certosa in Collegno, at corso Pastrengo 51, on the outskirts of Turin.[1][2]

The festival and its organisation

Flowers Festival is organised by Hiroshima Mon Amour and Cooperativa Biancaneve.[1][2] Tickets for the concert, standing only, cost 42 euros plus booking fees and go on sale from 11am on Thursday 5 November 2026 through the flowersfestival.it, mailticket.it, ticketone.it and ticketmaster.com booking platforms.[2]

Kneecap

Kneecap formed in 2017 between Belfast and Derry as an independent, DIY project rooted in hip-hop. Within a few years the band turned itself into one of the most recognisable names on the international rap scene, performing at Coachella and Glastonbury and in two consecutive sold-out shows at Dublin's 3Arena in front of 24,000 people, as well as at festivals such as All Together Now, Féile, Reading and Leeds.[1][2] The band's story has also been told in the biopic Kneecap, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and won a BAFTA.[1][2]

The trio's third studio album, Fenian, was released on 24 April 2026 on Heavenly Recordings, produced by Dan Carey, who has also worked with Fontaines D.C., Kae Tempest and Wet Leg. The record debuted at number one on the Irish chart and number two on the British chart.[1][2] According to the sources, the album came at the end of a year marked by controversy, legal proceedings and attempts to censor the band.[1][2]

At the Flowers Festival 2027, Kneecap will perform the songs from Fenian live, in a show the organisers describe as a fusion of rave energy, rap and electronic music.[1][2]
