Giornate della Legalità

The Giornate della Legalità – Spazi aperti in luoghi chiusi ("Days of Legality – Open spaces in closed places") is a Turin cultural event that opens to the public places where legality is concretely exercised, such as courts, barracks, prisons, universities and institutional offices. The fourth edition, from 8 to 11 October 2026 and dedicated to the theme «Una società si-cura» ("A caring society"), received the Medal of the President of the Republic as a representative award. The programme includes more than 45 events with over 80 guests, including Luigi Ciotti, Gustavo Zagrebelsky, Elsa Fornero and constitutional judge Francesco Viganò; the opening, on 8 October in the Aula Magna of the Luigi Einaudi Campus, includes a lecture titled «Democrazia e cura» ("Democracy and care") by legal historian Pietro Costa. The event's scientific curator is Valeria Marcenò, director of the University of Turin's Department of Law.

2026 Edition

At the fourth edition of Turin's Giornate della Legalità, in September 2026, the Medal of the Head of State was awarded.
