Frecciarossa Final Eight 2027
Date of the event:

The Frecciarossa Final Eight 2027 is the final stage of the Lega Basket Serie A's Coppa Italia (Italian Basketball Cup), to be held at the Inalpi Arena in Turin from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 February 2027. It is the fifth consecutive edition hosted by the city, which for the occasion will have an expanded capacity of more than 13,000 spectators [1][2].
Format and schedule
The event's format remains unchanged from previous editions, while the schedule now spans four days: the quarter-finals are played on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 February, the semi-finals on Saturday 20, and the final on Sunday 21 [1][2]. The eight participating teams will be the top eight at the end of the first half of the 2026/27 LBA Serie A SisalClub season, to be announced on the evening of 10 January 2027, after the fifteenth round of the championship [1].
Side events
On Sunday 21 February, before the final, the LBA Showtime Game returns, an exhibition match bringing together stars of Italian basketball and well-known figures from sport, entertainment and digital media, following its debut at the previous edition [1][2]. The two Showtime Game teams will be led by Andrea Bargnani, LBA Executive Advisor, and Gianluca Gazzoli, LBA Strategic Media Advisor, through a draft system; also taking part will be Mathias Cadiman and Giorgia Medori, winners of the Estathé LBA Faceoff 2026 held in Rimini [1]. On Saturday 20 February, before the Final Eight's semi-finals, the final of the IBSA NextGen Cup 2026/27 will also be played, the youth competition for the Under-19 squads of Serie A teams [2].
Organisation and sponsors
Frecciarossa, the Trenitalia (FS Group) high-speed train brand, is the event's title sponsor for the seventh consecutive year, with support from Infront as LBA's Official Advisor [1]. In November, Trenitalia activates its "Speciale Eventi" (special events) offer for holders of a valid ticket travelling to Turin by Frecce high-speed train [1][2]. The event is organised with the support of the Ministry for Sport and Youth, the Piedmont Region, the City of Turin, the Turin Chamber of Commerce and Infront, with the collaboration of the Candiolo Cancer Institute (Istituto Nazionale Oncologico di Candiolo) and the Italian Basketball Federation (FIP) for the final stage of the Italian eBasket League [1][2]. Thanks to FIP Piemonte, the Coppa Italia's "Roadshow Trophy" also returns, an initiative that takes the trophy to various Piedmont towns to introduce it to fans, families and young basketball players [1][2].
Tickets
With tickets now on sale, the lead-up to the 2027 edition of the event officially begins. Through the Superpromo offer, season passes can be purchased from 12 euros, in the various formats available through online sales channels [2].
