Corso Vittorio Emanuele II
Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is one of the main thoroughfares in central Turin, running between corso Vinzaglio and corso Inghilterra; Gtt lines 55, 60, 68 and Star 1 run along the corso.
At number 104 is the Nh hotel, where on 18 September 2026 a conference on urban security was held with general Roberto Vannacci, accompanied by a protest demonstration and a large deployment of law enforcement, including the police Reparto mobile and a carabinieri battalion.
At the intersection with corso Galileo Ferraris stands the monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, which since 30 September 2026 has had new architectural lighting by Iren: ten LED spotlights on the existing supports, with consumption reduced by 20%, replacing the system installed for the 2006 Winter Olympics and switched off for some years.
