Carabinieri Tenenza of Ciriè
The Carabinieri Tenenza of Ciriè is a Carabinieri command based in the municipality of Ciriè, in the Canavese area, in the province of Turin. It reports to the Venaria Reale Carabinieri Company and carries out territorial policing and works together with the municipal police of the municipalities under its responsibility, including San Maurizio Canavese.[1]
Response to a burglary
On 27 April the Carabinieri of the Ciriè Tenenza intervened together with San Maurizio Canavese's Municipal Police officers to stop an attempted burglary in a home in the town. The officers identified those responsible and chased them through the streets of the town, also tracing their accomplices: everyone involved was arrested.[1]
The commendation ceremony of 14 September
On the afternoon of 14 September 2026 the municipality of San Maurizio Canavese hosted, in the Town Hall chamber, the ceremony awarding commendations to the Municipal Police officers and the Carabinieri of the Ciriè Tenenza who had taken part in the operation. Lieutenant Aurora Palmieri, commander of the Ciriè Tenenza, and Captain Silverio Gesù, commander of the Venaria Reale Carabinieri Company, were present.[1]
The ceremony was attended by the councillor for security Andrea Persichella and the mayor of San Maurizio Canavese Michelangelo Picat Re, who thanked the law-enforcement officers for their commitment. A formal commendation was awarded by the mayor to the commander of San Maurizio's Municipal Police, Eliana Viale, for the readiness and operational coordination she showed during the operation, which was carried out jointly by Municipal Police officers and the Carabinieri of the Ciriè Tenenza.[1]
