Anti-drug Trafficking Operation in Sempione and Mennea Parks on 3 October 2026
On 3 October 2026 the Flying Squad of the Questura di Torino carried out an operation against drug dealing in the city's green areas, focusing in particular on Parco Sempione, in the Barriera di Milano district, and Parco Mennea, on Corso Rosselli. The operation ended with the arrest of two people and the seizure of nearly 4,000 euros in cash, along with dozens of doses of crack and cocaine [1].

Officers noticed a twenty-four-year-old man of Senegalese origin picking up a woman's stocking from the ground before quickly walking away. Stopped for a check, he was found to be carrying 2,270 euros in cash in a bum bag. Inside the stocking that had been retrieved, officers found 107 fragments of crack already divided into doses ready for sale [1].

In the second operation, on Corso Rosselli, a patrol observed a twenty-eight-year-old man, also a Senegalese national, repeatedly retrieving two bags hidden under a mulching sheet. The check led to the seizure of 20 wraps of crack and 33 of cocaine. A subsequent search of his home turned up a further 1,670 euros in cash, believed to be proceeds from drug dealing. The checks also revealed that he was in the country illegally [1].
Outcome
Both men were arrested on charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing. The proceedings are currently at the preliminary investigation stage [1].
