Visit by Novi Ligure city councillors to the Campari plant

On 25 October 2026 the city councillors of Novi Ligure, in the Province of Alessandria, visited the Campari group's plant located in the city. The visit was part of the «Fuoriconsiglio» programme, an initiative promoted by the municipal administration to give councillors a close look at the local economy and to maintain a dialogue with the business community [1].

The plant

Opened in 2004, the Novi Ligure site is the Campari group's largest production hub in the world. It accounts for a large share of the company's global output: about 60% of the world's Campari, 50% of Aperol and the entire world production of Crodino. The plant also produces historic brands such as Campari Soda, Vermouth and Spumanti [1].

Over the years the site has been the subject of technological and structural investment, including the opening of a new production line dedicated to Aperol in April 2024 [1].

The visit

During the visit, the city councillors saw the plant's industrial complexity and the attention paid to workplace safety, summed up in the company's slogan «Safety is teamwork», as well as the company's stated commitment to sustainability and waste reduction [1].
