In October 2026 the municipality organised a public meeting in the oratory hall of Viotto to update residents on investigations by Arpa and the ASL (local health authority) into the bad smells reported since the start of the year in the hamlets of Viotto and Pieve, among whose possible causes is a biogas plant operated by A2A, now under investigation.12
