Telecom Italia Lab
Telecom Italia Lab is the name taken on in 2001 by CSELT (Centro Studi e Laboratori Telecomunicazioni), the Turin-based telecommunications research centre of the Telecom Italia group, on the occasion of the relaunch of its website.1
The new website, at telecomitalialab.com (later moved to tilab.com), was online at least from 18 May 2001 and presented itself as «the innovation company», describing itself as a company created to develop innovation in the field of Information and Communication Technology.1
The same page reported, in those days, a collaboration with sailor Giovanni Soldini and participation in the 2001 Turin Book Fair.1
The historic domain cselt.it remained registered to the company even after the change of name: in the last snapshot with its own content, from 2022, it redirected by then to TIM's commercial website, with no more reference to the Turin research centre.2
