Reopening of the Teatro Martinetti in Cigliano
Date of the event:

On 14 November 2026 the Teatro Martinetti in Cigliano, in the province of Vercelli, reopens to the public after several years without performances. The occasion is the start of the first theatre season organised thanks to the partnership between the municipal administration and the town's philharmonic society (Filarmonica) [1].
The season
The programme is structured over five Saturday evenings, from 14 November 2026 to 16 January 2027. As this is an absolute debut for this format, the line-up was designed as an experiment focused on light, lively comedies, aimed at a broad audience [1].
On stage, companies from the area and beyond take turns: TrameOblique, Piccola compagnia del Giglio, Faber Teater, the Gruppo Volti anonimi and the compagnia della Civetta [1].
Organisation and ticket office
The season comes from an initiative of the municipal administration led by mayor Giorgio Testore and the councillor (assessore) for culture Raimonda Bresciani [1]. Management of ticketing and subscriptions for the theatre's 157 seats is entrusted directly to the Filarmonica, which made membership cards available at its headquarters on Saturday 7 November 2026, from 10am to noon, or on request by email [1].
The reopening of the Martinetti is part of a wider cultural season in the town that also includes the new programme of the Università Popolare di Cigliano (people's university), with language and computing courses, practical workshops and a lecture series [1].
