The burning of the effigies and political reactions

At the end of the march, in piazza Vittorio Veneto, participants throw rotten tomatoes at two cardboard effigies of Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, then destroy them with kicks and punches and set them on fire.1

Piedmontese Lega senator Giorgio Maria Bergesio speaks of «urban guerrilla warfare» against the police, expressing solidarity with law enforcement and calling for severe punishment for those who allegedly put Turin «to fire and sword».2
