On 26 October 2026 officers of the Wildlife Unit of the Local Police of the Metropolitan City of Turin recover a steppe eagle (Aquila nipalensis) in Roletto, after a citizen's report; the bird had wandered off from its owner. The bird of prey wears a ring with an identification code around its neck, which makes it possible to trace the legitimate owner: the eagle is returned to him after the documentation authorising the keeping of the animal is verified.

The recovery is part of the activities of the "Salviamoli Insieme on the road" service, run by the Centro Animali Non Convenzionali (CANC) in Grugliasco under an agreement with the Metropolitan City of Turin and the University of Turin's veterinary teaching unit, dedicated to the field recovery of wildlife that is dangerous or difficult for citizens to handle.
