Polizia Stradale
The Polizia Stradale is the branch of the Polizia di Stato dedicated to safety and traffic control on Italy's roads and motorways.
At the annual event that brings it together with Aiscat in Turin, the 2026 edition recorded a 59% drop in fatalities and a 46% drop in accidents on the Italian motorway network over the past twenty years. The network covered by the report extends for more than 5,100 kilometres; over the same period, injuries fell by 43%. [3]12
