Pistoletto's Third Paradise on the Prosthesis of a Child from Gaza (September 2026)

On 16 September 2026, at the Fondazione Omi in Turin, Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto and the Officina Ortopedica Maria Adelaide presented the new prosthesis of a nine-year-old Palestinian boy, who had arrived in Turin from the Gaza Strip, on which the Third Paradise symbol created by artist Michelangelo Pistoletto had been depicted.

The boy had arrived in Turin in 2025 after surviving, together with his father and a younger brother, a missile attack that struck his family's home in Gaza during the night between 19 and 20 May 2025, killing the other family members present. The transfer took place as part of the Food for Gaza humanitarian mission, coordinated by the Piedmont Region with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The project, described by its promoters as a way of turning a medical aid into a symbol of peace and rebirth, brings together the work of Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto and of the Officina Ortopedica Maria Adelaide, the Turin-based facility that made the prosthesis.
